At the other end of Water Street is the International Bridge, soaring over the Narrows and joining Lubec to Campobello Island. Over the bridge is the Roosevelt International Park the boyhood home of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, now preserved and administered jointly by the US and Canadian governments. Campobello also offers miles of shoreline, several large parks, fine restaurants serving fresh-off-the-boat fish and lobster and a golf course right on the ocean shore. US citizens need a passport or passcard to cross the uncrowded border, effective June 1, 2009.
